The PolySteel
piping system is a highly cost effective solution for the transmission of
fluid under high pressure.
PolySteel is a composite pipe incorporating the strength of steel with
the flow characteristics and application properties
of high density polyethylene (HDPE)
PolySteel can operate at very high pressures and allows the quick
movement of large volumes of fluid otherwise not
possible with a poly only pipe system.
PolySteel piping rigidity during operation is similar in characteristic
to steel pipelines and allows the use of standard
steel pipe restraints.
PolySteel maintains the full applications characteristics of HDPE for
the transportation of fluid such as water, chemical and slurry.
In the case of transmitting abrasive slurry a PolySteel piping system
can be manufactured to enable relining of the
polyethylene inner liner whilst in situ significantly reducing replacement
costs and operation downtime.
The steel outer casing of PolySteel can be protective coated or
manufactured from stainless steel to combat
corrosively aggressive environments such as sea spray.
PolySteel installation is more typical of steel pipeline procedures.
PolySteel piping systems are highly flexible in design and usually
manufactured to a customers specification and end
use application.
Duraduct as the supplier of PolySteel systems is the manufacturer but
can also provide the services of an onsite
construction crew trained in the installation of the PolySteel piping
system.
